Just Wanted to Share these Sites...

In case you don't already have these two sites bookmarked, please check them out! The first is called We Give Books. "We Give Books is a new digital initiative that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don't have them, simply by reading online.

We Give Books combines the joy of reading with the power of helping others, providing a platform for caregivers and educators to inspire children to become lifelong readers and lifelong givers.

We Give Books also helps some of the world's best, most inspiring, literacy organizations by spreading the word about their great work and by providing books to the young people these organizations support."

So basically, you get to have free books online to share with your kiddos in class or at home and they give free books to others in need. You can feel good about reading a fun book to your kids even more so than you do now!!

The second site is called The Teaching Channel. Teaching Channel is a video showcase—on the Internet and TV—of inspiring and effective teaching practices in America's schools. Their video library offers educators a wide range of subjects for grades K-12. The videos also include information on alignment with Common Core State Standards and ancillary material for teachers to use in their own classrooms.

I have gotten many great ideas from there and you can view teachers actually demonstrating various concepts or behavior mod. in their classrooms and talking about it. If you haven't already watched some, I implore you to check them out.

Lastly, I wanted to leave you with a little cuteness.

And don't forget to go to my last post and vote for your favorite digital pallette to help me design this blog. I will tally the votes next week and hopefully in 2 weeks will have a whole new look. Hopefully I will also get into my new classroom and get some pics too.
